Care for Communities

KRIS SmileCare

In many developing countries, access to oral health services is limited and teeth are often left untreated or are extracted because of pain or discomfort. In 2015, Dr. Faith Victoriano joined a mission trip to the Philippines as a volunteer dentist and the extent of tooth extractions she had to do drained her spirit tremendously. Her mission trip experience and passion for preventive dentistry propelled her into focusing more of her energy in providing oral health education to children. Joined by her friend and colleague, Dr. Hyun Bang, DDS, who shares her passion for preventive dentistry, and the support of KRIS Foundation, KRIS SmileCare was born. KRIS SmileCare’s mission is to promote oral health by partnering with local schools and orphanages in teaching children proper oral hygiene habits and nutrition and provide them with the tools. We offer quarterly Continuing Education Courses to the local Oral Health educators prepared by our caring dental professionals. Over the years, we hope to see a decrease in dental and systemic diseases in the areas that we serve.

In partnership with Hyun S. Bang, DDS, KRIS SmileCare delivers Oral Health opportunities to children in underserved communities. We are thankful to Dr. Bang and Dr. Faith for their unwavering support in providing the professional expertise, leadership, and resources for this project.

As we expand KRIS SmileCare to more schools and orphanages, we welcome the help of additional sponsors and partners. Join us in improving the oral health of disadvantaged children, send email to info@kidsriseinspiresoar.org.

California Fire Victims Aid -Local
The devastating fires resulting from a recent lighting storm have adversely impacted so many people in California. KRIS Founder, Krissy Dufala, has started a fundraising campaign to provide aid to affected families in Northern California.

Kenya Water Project, 2019
Prior to the completion of the water project, the 300+ students of the Mochenwa Secondary School in Keroka, Kenya have to wake up very early in the morning to gather water from a river along with the entire village before getting ready for school. Now, they have their onsite water source that the school administration is sharing with the neighboring church, primary school, health center and surrounding community.

Philippines Super Typhoon Haiyan Aid, 2014
Typhoon Haiyan caused massive devastation to the Philippines. It displaced over 14 million people and damaged homes and livelihood. We helped families rebuild their lives by donating homes and motorized fishing boats. In 2015, we had the privilege of meeting the beneficiary families face to face. The sweet smiles on their faces and tears of gratitude were such a great source of inspiration for us.

Aid for Medical Expenses
We extend financial aid to select individuals with serious medical conditions and in dire need of treatment.
